December 15, 201213 yr I've installed the patch to upgrade KSEA to FSX with the ORBX PNW scenery, I've followed the instructions with the exception of renaming the ORBX files to prevent them from being displayed. Instead I've placed them in folders within thier respective scenecery since this method has always been effective for me. However the aiport appears to be on two levels, with the runways being on berms and the North end of the runways disappearing into a berm. KSEA is situated on a plateau so I believe that what I'm seeing is that parts of the airport are just below the level of the plataeu. Also only the two original runways are visible, the newest runway 16R/34L doesn't show. The instructions reference a flatten file but this appears tobe relative to FS 2002 and I'm running FSX. I also have Ultimate Terrian X and FS Genesis United States Terrain Mesh for FSX installed, anyone have any ideas? MartyV
December 15, 201213 yr Sorry, I don't want to hijack your tread but I didn't know there was a patch to upgrade to FSX. I never bought this airport because I thought it was just FS2004. So if you buy the FS2004 version does this provide access to an upgrade to FSX? I can't see anywhere where on the FlyTampa site that it advises the purchaser that an upgrade is available. December 15, 201213 yr There used to be a dedicated website on how to get it to run in FSX but it doesnt seem to be around anymore. I just remember it being more difficult than it might be worth so never tried it. Sure would like a KSEA make over to go with ORBX PNW though. Gil Hidalgo
December 16, 201213 yr I always get confused about which Mesh had big issues with Plateaus and Canyons but one of them has a whole "fix" add-on to address this. Anyone else remeber which that was? Geoff Sorry but best I can do. Check the sites for the Meshes you've installed because if it's either the fix should be apparent in their support (if it's the one I'm thinking of). Geoff Brown
December 17, 201213 yr Author I wish I could provide the link that I downloaded the file from but whenever when I click on it it'll take you to a web hosting site. The authors are Lawrence Robbins & Anthony Cacciatore, www.myflightsimblog.com is the link that I used, you might also try sending a message to anthony, the address is [email protected]. Did a Google search but not much luck.
