December 18, 201213 yr I really don't know where to post this thread, I've looked and wasn't sure where would be a good spot for this, I am very sorry if this is incorrect for this site, I thought this is the most friendly section for me to post my trouble, its getting a little bit a noying to deal with my technical missfortune. I have FSX Acceleration pack which I installed it after unistalling SP1 and SP2, then I created a free flight from KSFO to PHNL, I noticed that Mesh/Land was extended off shore fore more than 50+ miles departing from KSFO, at first I didn't want to pay too much attention thinking it might been just a "video card/driver glitch', then finally I saw some water and open sea until like 100 miles arriving to PHNL, all the island were sorrounded with land, I'm posting a screnshot here, so I honestly don't know how to fix this and I need some help before finding out that this could get worse, I have flew throught out other locations in FSX but only these 2 are the one giving problems at the moment. Again I am very sorry it is not my intention to upset anyone for not being able to find the right place for my concern, if any one can point me to the right direction it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. December 18, 201213 yr There is a forum just for FSX, a little further down the list. Taking an educated guess that you have Ultimate Terrain X USA? If so, start up the addon's Setup Tool and let it do it's checks. It appear your Terrain.cfg file is a little messed up and one of the checks for the UTX tool is that the entries it needs to be in Terrain.cfg are there. If they are not, it will reinsert the entries and things should get back to normal within FSX.

December 20, 201213 yr Uninstall Acceleration, then Uninstall Service Pack 2. Reinstall Acceleration. Acceleration HAS SP2 already built in to it. There is a conflict between the SP2 Install and Acceleration to which is why you are getting the messed up land.

Educated guess here, but if he had/has UTX installed, then when he installed FSXA it would have installed a default Terrain.cfg file, overwriting the entries UTX had made in the prior setup. With no Terrain.cfg entries relative to UTX and with a Scenery Library that contains a folder full of exclusionary files from UTX there will then be the bleed-over of land shown in the pictures. I'm so confident I'm right, I'll wager $1.00! But if I'm wrong on the wager, the winner must come pick up the money, so long as they have cookies for me!
December 20, 201213 yr Joseph, With UTX installed I had exactly the same problem you discribe at both Hawaii and off the west coast of the USA....... Simple solution for me was to go into the Scenery Library and uncheck the box next to "UT Exclusions for default scenery"....... This solved the problem for me and the scenery in these areas is back to normal...... So far have seen no adverse effects anywhere else in the sim, however I fly mostly in the Orbx NA areas......... If the UTX tool suggestion does not work for you try my solution........ Just double checked it ths AM prior to this posting and I can duplicate your problem by enableing UT Exlucsions for default scenery....... Once unchecked back to normal....... JayDub
