Hi,

In the checklist of Before Starting Engines says, " Cowl Flaps - Open, Off ". I am not quite sure what it means. Should I switch it on Open or Off position?

Switch it to open for a few seconds to allow the cowl flaps to open, then switch to off to remove the hydraulic pressure so you don't lose hydraulic fluid in case of a leak.

 

Same with the other settings for the cowl flaps.
