selecting light bloom messes up my EXDOK Views.. Any fix?

Featured Replies

I was flying happily away on my A321 and I decided to select light bloom..Bam! all the views are messed up... I can't use lightbloom with EZDOK. When I uncheck lightbloom..its ok. Now why would selecting lightbloom mess up views?

Whatsup with that?

Anyone have this issue? I am in DX9.

Could you please describe some of the errors that occur with views or, preferably, post screen shots? Perhaps your issue involves a hardware (i.e., processing) insufficiency, as light bloom is known to be severely performance-demanding in DX9. Try disabling EZCA by using the Global Disable function, and see if you continue having issues. I use EZCA and light bloom in DX10 with no issues.

How have you adjusted your FSX configuration? Have you recently updated any FSX components (e.g., new add-ons, etc.)?

I constantly add addons...

no FSX.cfg change.

Disabling EZCA by using the Global Disable function means, I am stuck in that single dysfunctional view for ever and ever. I cannot use S or A or hat switch. I opted for Bloom when flying around Juliana Airport/ cause that gave me steady 29.5FPS....

A simple selection of Bloom that's it... When I use the hat switch, it pivots around a point so far away from the aircraft... I hit S or A and the views are messed up. When hit 2 to readjust ... it moves from a relative point that is outside the aircraft and again pretty dysfunctional. It's independent of what aircraft I use. when I deselct Bloom, it goes back to normal.

You must always remember to run the EZCA configuration tool after adding or removing add-on aircraft (was it you that I advised on that Airbus X Extended thread about this possibility?). I'm not saying that you are not already running the tool correctly, but am merely suggesting that you ensure you have eliminated any issues involving configuration before proceeding.

I wasn't suggesting that you disable EZCA indefinitely. Rather, I was suggesting that you determine whether the same issues occur when EZCA is disabled. If you wish to perform a more-reliable test, reassign your A and S keys as well as the hatswich in the default FSX Controls page. Ensure that your issues do not involve FSX's default views system.

I did a restore on EZDOK..and I still have this problem. So not sure if this is an EZDOK issue anymore

When I am in DX10 mode, there is no issue... only when I am DX9 and I select light bloom, I get those distorted dysfunctional views

Hmm....
