Welcome to AVSIM!

Interesting concept! I like the fading between clips and the horizontal black bars at the edges of the screen. You had a nice variety of sky colors and views.

Here are some of my picky constructive criticisms / suggestions (bold items are more important):

1. Consider opening your videos with brighter scenes (to draw attention and viewer interest) and impressive graphics / non-jerky camera movement. Especially regarding the latter, so many people have made FSX videos with similar openers. Most of these videos turn out to be extremely poor, so I was tempted to stop watching yours after seeing your opening, when in fact, your artistic composition and frame rates ended up being quite satisfactory. However, the quality of your textures in general could be improved.

2. Perhaps centering on the Iran Air aircraft instead of the Emirates aircraft in the opening would have been more consistent with the rest of the video.

3. Consider integrating video text better. For example, in the opening, bright, harsh white text over a peaceful night scene is an awkward combination that ruins the artistry of the opening shot.

4. Consider editing out or removing the Sound Off indication. There is an entry in fsx.cfg called HideInfoText=1 that can be used to hide these messages.

5. In my opinion, the use of lens flare was an interesting but inconsistently applied effect.

6. The landing animations were painfully messed up.

7. At 4:22, the sudden changes in simulation speed and views seemed awkward.

Normally, I would not be so critical of any filmmaker, but wanted to get you started on brainstorming possible improvements to small details—I know creating high-quality videos on weak computers is immensely difficult, and applaud you for creating a lovely video!

Nice video Chamath, but the wrong forum for it. Please read and follow the rules in the Avsim Terms of Service. Welcome BTW! You are brand new so I forgive you this time. This is just a warning citation.

Kind regards,
