1947 Piper Cub

Recommended Posts

If you like seat of the pants low and slow GA type flying, just for fun, here is a link to a great little Piper Cub. The author makes no bones about his lack of experience in type, but this plane does fly great. Just don't expect to fly trans-continental with it. :-). It has a 3D cockpit, just bare bones.

Great find, thanks for sharing this.

Not quite enough adverse yaw, but so far it's the best freeware Cub I have tried.

I thought the yaw was pretty good. Just a bit of right rudder will hold it level. Aileron trim and or rudder trim won't work in this model, you must put that rudder input in yourself, just as in real life. Of course, X-Plane does roll a bit more than it yaws, but I can live with that. The important thing to me at least is you do have to put that pressure in, so helps with the muscle memory.

Best "Low & Slow" aircraft freeware i've seen so far on XP.

IMHO, it is payware quality. Love it.
