If Active menu `(FAILURES / NONE) Management of Pitot tubes is in realistic mode?

 

What happens if Active Menu `(SIMULATION / SERVICE FAILURES BASED / ON)?

 

I would like to better understand the operation of these parameters before you have problems,

As far as I know (it was discussed in past, search for it) the pitot/static ice is not simulated in the ngx as fsx doesn't simulate it correctly.

About service based failures, after some hour of flights you must do maintenance to refill oil levels and check the aircraft, if that feature is on, if you do not service the plane failures due to low oil levels and similar problems will give you some faults also if you've not set the failures in the menu.
