January 8, 201313 yr That has happened to any Canadian driving in those conditions, airplanes make no difference. A good wind and some slippery snow and into the cabbage you will go. I embarrased myself one year in front of one of my employees--it was my first drive in my first snow, and I was coming to a stop at a major intersection near my workplace. I just lightly tapped my brakes, or so I thought, and my car started spinning down the middle of a four lane state highway. I took my foot off the gas, hands off the wheel, and just waited for that bone jarring crunch....... Luckily God was watching out for me--I didn't hit anything and came out of the spin on roughly the same heading. I gingerly drove my car to our parking area about a half mile from the highway thinking I hadn't been seen. I entered the building, went upstairs to my office still humbled by my experience. Then one of my employees came to me and asked how I enjoyed spinning my car.... Arghhhhhh! That day I went out and bought studded snow tires. John
