January 9, 201313 yr I left EGKK (Gatwick) last eve for a quick flight to EGCC (Manchester). I use the PMDG 737 NGX, FS2Crew, Opus (Weather) and EZDOK. I took off and at 400 agl the co-pilot called "positive climb" I called for gear up. Now here is where it got a little bit sureal. I was flying the wl version BA livery with no failures selected. About five seconds after the gear had retracted I noticed the stbd wheel lights were amber and green, went to the outside view and sure enough the stbd gear was still down! So what I want to know is, are the standard wear and tear features live regardless of the settings? As an end to the tale, I returned to EGKK and during approach had a midair collision with a dash 8!.....where's ATC when you need it?! AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 4.2 32 gig ram, Nvidia RTX3060 12 gig, Intel 760 SSD M2 NVMe 512 gig, M2NVMe 1Tbt (OS) M2NVMe 2Tbt (MSFS) Crucial MX500 SSD (Backup OS). January 9, 201313 yr Author LOL...Yep I suppose it does, I was in the outside view at the time though. January 10, 201313 yr Hmmm, 400 agl is darn late for FS2crew to call positive rate. Interesting about the gear. Did you check for any active failures (even after restart if the mid air caused a crash)? Jay Vorkapic
January 13, 201313 yr At what speed were you going? If your copilot called positive rate at 400' AGL it might be that you were going quite fast at that point. To retract landing gear max IAS is 235 and if you happened to be above that speed it might cause your landing gear to jam. Aljaz Prislan
January 13, 201313 yr I had a similar situation once when both of my main gear hit a fence at the end of a short runway. I could not feel it in the cockpit but I went back and saw it on the replay. Both mains would not retract. But there was no noticeable damage to the NGX. Thanks, Ron Thanks, Ron Fields
January 14, 201313 yr I was wondering tis myself too: --> are the standard wear and tear features live regardless of the settings? I can imagine that abusing mishandling the aircraft still results in damage, so that settings refers to failures being triggered randomly. Hmm...did I just gave the answer myself ? ____________________________________________________ Dieter de Wit
