should I avoid the fsx drop down menus like the plague

Featured Replies

I would like to think there was someone out there who has never had this occur and could share their system details.

I've never suffered with problems using the FSX menu during flights. I run FSX with Acceleration on Win XP SP3 (32 bit). I mostly use windowed mode so I can easily access external applications.

Not that I'm immune from the kind of problems you see, but they aren't triggered by using the menu.

I have just tried Ryan's advise and added HIGHMEMFIX=1 to my fsx.cfg file and so far I have flown 4

complete flights with no problems
