Yes thanks for the reply I have tried various combinations of entries on the route page copying the destination into the origin for example worked once but not again. It's not the end of the world but very frustrating . Colin

Even though I have routes saved in the FMC there are times when I request routes it comes up with a NO ROUTES AVAILABLE message. I suspect a new route request is only available if the last route is complete.I have tried to clear the route on the FMC to no avail. There must be a way to erase a route entered in error and request another saved route. Colin Booth

Thanks but I tried that with no reply so far. I may just have to accept that " beggars can't be choosers ".

Has anyone else noticed how wrong the fsx scenery for Kefalonia is. The Island is just the wrong shape but I was amazed to find the freeware Photoreal scenery by Angelo Tassoglou. Ionian islands. I have not used freeware scenery before but was surprised at the amount and quality of it. The Island detail is fantastic but where there should be a massive bay between Argostoli and Lixouri there is a huge chunk of land which looks like the original basic scenery. In the middle of this land mass sits a cruise ship. I am not moaning about the freeware that's heaps better and as I have enjoyed many holidays on this wonderful Greek island its a treat to be able to fly around it but I would be interested to know if there is a fix.

I cured this problem with the HIGHMEMFIX=1 line added in the (graphics) section of the fsx.cfg file. But occurred again and this time it was when I enabled preview direct x10 in display settings. No other aircraft were affected just the pmdg 737.

I have just tried Ryan's advise and added HIGHMEMFIX=1 to my fsx.cfg file and so far I have flown 4 complete flights with no problems Colin

I just wondered if anyone is able to use the menus in fsx and return to a flight without any corrupted graphics or crashes. This happens to me intermittantly after saving or planning a route. I would like to think there was someone out there who has never had this occur and could share their system details. At the moment Ryan is helping me find a solution but trying to rule things out when dealing with intermittant faults is tricky Colin

This happens to me if I go to one of the tabs at the top of the screen to change the time or load a flight plan. If pmdg doesn't like doing this how else can it be done. I have just had it happen after doing a save. Blank screen, I can restart fsx and it will work again but this is getting me down now which is a shame because it's a wonderful product Colin

Thanks for the reply Owen the reg cleaner sounds like a good idea . It does seem that a lot of odd data is still resident and being a pain. I just want to avoid a full reformat . Colin

I have followed the pmdg guide on a complete de install of add ons and fsx to the letter. After re installing just fsx I noticed a pmdg folder with files was still there. I assume I need to do more to get to a clean state. Can anyone with a bit more brain power than me give me a pointer. Colin

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Completely about 5 times now because of crashes and corrupted graphics trying to change one thing at a time to get it to run properly.I hope I can rely on getting enough chances to solve my problems otherwise I will wish I bought the cd version. Surely if you have paid for a download the activation should last forever otherwise it is called renting. Colin

I seem to have found 2 update files for 737 NGX one named sp1 and one service update one. Can anyone tell me if I need to install both and if so in which order.

I have had 737NGX for a few weeks now, When it works it's very impressive . I know with some win7 programs it is impossible to load software unless you are logged on as administrator. I have de installed reinstalled several times into C: fsx logged in as administrator have had various screen freezes , missing graphics, fatal shut down errors. I wondered if I needed to use administrator and also what updates I should use and when or which order to install them . Thanks for creating such an authentic aircraft , Colin

That's really interesting because I have just built a new computer bought and installed B737 NGX for the first time and found the exact same problem. I thought it might be something I had done wrong with the build or like you a graphics card problem. Perhaps PMDG could address issue in a future update. Cheers Colin East Sussex England
