Having trouble with increasing throttle

Featured Replies

I have assigned F1 = Decrease Throttle and F2 = Increase Throttle

But when I hit tthem it does nothing, anyone know what's wrong? Its for the Airbus X Extended. I see like 2 entries for throttle (decrease) and throttle (increase) under the preferences, is something wrong with my install or is that normal.

Somethings not letting me push the throttle forward, I can only do reverse thrust. Not sure what's wrong

Its for the Airbus X Extended.

Is that the only plane that doesn't react, to that? If so, that's pretty normal, as a joystick with a throttle axis or a seperate throttle is required for it to work. I think that's to reflect Airbus's autothrottle system, which is designed so that the throttle lever doesn't move once in the right position.

If you also have that trouble with other aircraft, you might go back to the original assignment (F1 - idle, F2 reduce, F3 - increase, F4 - full thrust), and see if that works.

Yup, you're right. I need an actual throttle to fly this plane. Such a shame, since its such a beautiful plane. Wish there was an option for those who don't own actual throttles to be able to fly this. :(

Agreed. I bought the original Airbus X without knowing, that a throttle is required for it to work, too. Then I bought a joystick with a throttle axis, actually quite a cheap one at first, and it made flight simming a lot more fun, so I can really recommend it.
