January 20, 201313 yr Personal best, just for my own satisfaction. 39,656 feet of altitude and 782 kts in a power dive to oblivion with P-51 D. I'm sure I can do better! Next time I will try a high speed pull out to see if compressibility is modeled? It was more of a problem with the P-38 but I don't have one, ha ha. Steve
January 21, 201313 yr if compressibility is modeled? If it was Steve you wouldn't have gotten to 700+ KIAS :-) Honestly, and given that I am about to re-install MS FLIGHT to test it on my new rig, the only two good flight models (accurate, not arcadish / simplified) are those of the Maule and the Stearman, and the Carbon Cub probably too, but I have used it just a few times before giving up on FLIGHT a few months ago... Even the RV leaves a lot to be desired in terms of simple stall characteristics... The cockpitless - forget about tehm flight dynamics wise... it's pure arcade (although the potential is there and the proof is the quality of the Maule and Stearman Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
