Reverse Thrust- Saitek Throttle

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm going to order an extra Saitek throttle quadrant to add to my current throttle set. I'm going to configure it for four engined aircraft by arranging the black knobs. Before I buy it, though, I wanted to know, is there a way within FSX to configure the four reverse thrust detents to engage reverse thrust at the same time on all four levers? I'm also willing to do this if it's possible in the registered version of FSUIPC. Is there also a way within FSUIPC to assign two engines to one lever? (For when I fly a 4-engined prop)

Thank you in advance.

Thanks,

Kevin L

The answer is Yes to both questions. The best way is with the payware version of FSUIPC. I use Saitek throttles and have it setup that way for both twins and quads.

Can you please give instructions on how to do this in fsx settings. Thankyou.

This is what you do. Start FSX flight in a plane and then go to the addons menu(ALT key) and click FSUIPC. In FSUIPC click on the tab saying something about buttons. Pull the levers one at a time back into the red zone and FSUIPC should show something say joystick number and button number. Look on the right side and click on the the top drop down menu for button press. Scroll through the list and find engine #(1,2,3,4) set. in the perameters box set -100 for full reverse thrust. Then go to the button release menu (just below) and scroll til you see engine #(1,2,3,4) idle. This is so when you push the levers forward out of reverse thrust the engines don't stay locked in reverse. Repeat this for all the engines/levers you want. YOU MUST HAVE A REGISTE RED VERSION OF FSUIPC. I hope this helps you because this is exactly how it worked for me and it always works. If you have any questions Email me at ericlanegen(at)gmail(dot)com use the subject -FSUIPC reverse thrust- B)
