January 29, 201313 yr Well, I have never had a problem with the rain effect in FSX, that's why I asked. If you goto a three monitor setup it will be obvious due to the near 180 degree view. Without the fix It's like holding up one of those clear umbrellas in front of your cockpit. What it adds to a single monitor view I don't know but I'm sure it improves things.

Sorry, to better answer your question what the fix does is to pretty much get rid of the "tunnel effect" if you know what I mean and it also makes the precipitation look less "intense". It's very easy to install, just make a backup of the original Rain40.fx file and then replace it with the one mentioned in the fix and should you for whatever reason don't like it it's very easy to go back to the original.
