January 29, 201313 yr I've noticed recently that FSX has been crashing on me. I have a pretty stout setup and I'm having trouble figuring out what is wrong. Setup as follows: Asusx58 sabertooth MB intel i7 960 processor 16gb DDR3 ram (8mb allocated for the partition) 1tb HDD (500gb win7) (500gb win8) -this is on the list to be updated 2x radeon 5770 gpu's corsair watercooling FSX is run in administrator mode, and the UAC controls are OFF it is also in compatibility mode for SP2..Moving on from there I have a slew of addons that include: PMDG:737,747,MD11 Aerosoft: Airbusx extended, Innsbruckx FSDT: LAX,LAS,JFK,ZRH,GSX FLYTAMPA: TNCM KBOS OMDB VHXX none of these addons have given me issues though. I added the UIAAUTOMATIONCORE.dll and I still get the issue. Any insight would be really helpful, and appreciated. I've done everything short of buying another 16gb ram and another hard drive and just re installing everything. Gruß Stephen Clouse
January 29, 201313 yr I added the UIAAUTOMATIONCORE.dll and I still get the issue So it worked fine until you did this? EDIT: sorry. Missed the word "still". Carry on... Do not judge people until you've walked a mile in their shoes. Then at least you are a mile ahead of them when you ###### them off...
January 29, 201313 yr Author So it worked fine until you did this? After I added it I did one flight without issue. Then today the crash happened again. I originally thought it was the Airbusx extended, however the crash that happened today was in the NGX. Stephen Clouse
January 29, 201313 yr First, the UIAUTOMATIONCORE.dll does nothing. It has nothing to do with the apphangs you are receiving. It's like taking high blood pressure medication for depression symptoms. Just for *now*, remove that file from your FSX folder. Second, your type of CTD is an "Apphang". Please download Appcrash view here http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html and post it so we can see the modules that were loaded.
January 29, 201313 yr Author I have Appcrash. Where should I look for the Modules? Within the crash report? Sorry for my ignorance Stephen Clouse
January 29, 201313 yr Not a problem. You gave us the basic AppCrashReport in your OP. That was great but we also need to see what modules were loaded. If you look down further in the AppCrashView report, you'll see Modules loaded. Just copy and paste those and put them in this post. Thanks. Looking at your crash report in the OP I see that the App that actually got hung up was Connect Track\kACARS - Juliana Connect.exe (AppPath=E:\Program Files (x86)\FS Products\Connect Track\kACARS - Juliana Connect.exe). I suspect a simconnect problem. Is the program properly setup? I have no experience whatsoever with Juliana Connect but believe the connection must be made through simconnect. A lot of these programs have a simconnect.msi that is used to set up simconnect just for that program. You might look at your manual or the instructions to see if you missed something. Otherwise, I would totally uninstall/reinstall it. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! I'll uninstall it and Re-install to try and iron out issues. Also, everything from the crash log has been copied over in the OP. Thanks again, Stephen Stephen Clouse
