August 21, 200421 yr I can't find any relation to FS 2004, except that the press release says"Marshall Center names flight simulator 2004 'Software of the Year'"but they're saying that they named -a- flight simulator the "2004 Software of the Year"...http://www.msfc.nasa.gov/news/news/releases/2004/04-201.htmllol... Syntax!Am I reading something wrong?!? :)Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
August 21, 200421 yr Wow, imagine that.Especially considering that the majority of the fora here have nothing to do with FS2004 either.:-roll Regards,Brian Doney
August 21, 200421 yr Hi Andrew:AVSim.com is not just about Microsoft Flight Simulator (though this is by far the most popular). We are interested in all types of simulators, flight or otherwise. You will notice we have forums for other flight simulators (Fly!, XPlane, Pro Pilot, and Flight Unlimited), the Orbiter Space Simulator, Train simulators, etc. As other simulator programs are developed, we may add support forums for them.
August 21, 200421 yr Maybe AVSIM uses a webcrawler and as soon as it saw FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004 --- Wham! There ya go...flight simulator 2004Just kidding.:-hah
August 21, 200421 yr I wished we used a web crawler for news!!! It would give relief to a bunch of folks not to have to post news daily. :)
August 21, 200421 yr Tom, At one time I was going to ask you all how you got the news stories that you run. I kind of figured that you had people who searched for the stories as well as running them if someone sent them to you, so now I guess I know. I can see it now, NASA has a press conference and a big white truck with the Avsim logo and antennas and dishes on top pulls up and a group of Avsim reporters jump out carrying the latest digital motion cameras. They part the crown yelling "press, make way", with Tom Allensworth in the lead. Sorry, I could not resist but it makes a powerful image, doesn't it? :-)Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
August 21, 200421 yr Oh, I know this ain't just about MS FS... :)Just thought the phrasing of the press release set off some kind of automation, like someone mentioned!Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
August 21, 200421 yr We can't afford the latest digital camera, let alone a white truck. Heck, we can't even afford the air fair to fly anyone to NASA to do the interview. :-lol
