I would just like to thank everyone for their valued input on this. It was a great help.

 

My choice in the end was dictated mostly by the sale price of a Canon MG5350, which I got for less than £65GBP

 

Seems to be a good piece of kit thus far, and all I want and more. Almost went with Samsung but the Canon price just couldn't be beten;-)
