Starting FSX

Featured Replies

OK.

I purchased FSX Deluxe, installed it, now, how do I start it? Installation leaves no desktop icon. I use Windows Vista

Home Premium 64 bit. No mention of how to start in the printed manuals. Any help is appreciated.

Mike

Go to the installation path (default is C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Fligth Simulator X), scroll down to the FSX.exe and create a desktop shortcut for FSX.

I also have had this problem, it happens, when you miss to check the "Create Desktop Shortcut" option during installation.

If you installed to the defualt location the fsx.exe file sohuld be here;

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X

It might be in the C:\Program Files(x86)Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X file, but as I have 32bit vista I can't be sure about 64 bit location, check in both and that should get you going.

Also you can check your "Games" folder Vista like to make (usually start/games), it will be in there.
