The introduction manual has all this advice - worth reading my friend.

Jeff_B is correct ... I followed the rules for adjusting my fsx.cfg via a specified website ... downloaded an external frame limiter ... set the target frame rate in MSFX to unlimited ... my framerates doubled. For the iFly product that I ditched (in favor of PMDG) I was getting 7 to 10 fps in VC mode ... now with the modifications suggested by the Introduction manual I'm getting 20 fps in VC and 35+ in 2D view. For default MSFX aircraft like the Cessna ... I'm getting around 50 fps. This is all with a E8400 DualCore 3.0GHz machine on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and a GTX 560 video card (1024 MB). This machine is three years old. Just to drive this home ... by using their suggestions ... I no longer feel like I have to buy a new machine to fly the 737NGX for Southwest Virtual Airline ... this machine is now smoldering hot.
