February 14, 201313 yr Hello guys, I've been reading a lot about OpusFSX, tried the demo and saw some videos and I have to say that I'm impressed. I have 2 question: 1- I've been reading on the Flight1 forum that at some point some users been having and issue at the moment that Opus inject the weather mostly because and FSX bug. Something about airspeed going way up for a second, and going back to normal. Is this still happening? I've never experienced anything similar with AS2012 or REX. 2- How is the weather over the ocean? I know it's a little difficult to know the weather over the ocen without any station that report the weather. Edit: I just find this answer over the Flight1 forum. February 14, 201313 yr Matias, I use OpusFSX with all of my flights. All of my flights are military aircraft, mostly the T-6A and T-6B Texan II. For these flights, I am usually using very specific headings, airspeeds, and maneuvers. OpusFSX has never affected my airspeed with their weather update process. That being said, if a new METAR is read by OpusFSX and the weather it creates in FSX shifts the wind direction, there could be minor changes in airspeed if the winds shift. But this airspeed change is just as likely to be a "slow down" as a "speed up". For the type of flying that I do, it is a GREAT product, very "light weight" without a lot of interfaces and frills. For sim pilots who fly at high altitudes across the ocean, perhaps not, I don't know. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
February 14, 201313 yr I couldnt be without Opus now. I beleive in the newest version you have smoothing options so you hardly notice any wind change. A top notch product in my eyes. Adam
