rcd files not being saved

Featured Replies

When I press CRTL-SHIFT-SEMICOLON (which is what the RC4 Keyboard command for "Save RC/FS State" is set to, RC4 saves a FLT file, an FSSAVE file, and a WX file in the directory that is set in ".FLT/.WX PATH" but not a RCD file. This has happened 3 every time lately. The environment is: FSX running on Windows 7 machine with licensed FSUIPC4 v 4.85, RC4 running on WinXP machine through WideFS. Everything in RC4 is apparently working except the RCD save, which is very frustrating when a problem happens in mid-flight. I am also running Pete Dawson's AUTOSAVE on the FSX system set to save interval of 180 sec and 10 to keep.

Anyone else having this problem?

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/398205-rc4-file-extension/ is really about rcd files.

1. Check the actual keyboard assignment in rc keyboard tab. Make sure it is different than the FS save flight key. I find that works better.

2. Disable autosave.dll (rename to .dlh) in you modules folder and test. It is reported to be a conflict with its default settings.

is it possible another program is using ctrl-shift-;

if you just let fs save the flight, with the ; key, rc will save the flight too
