Orbx England And Horizon VFR Photoreal

Featured Replies

I already have Orbx England, but does anyone also have Horizon's scenery also installed? I am assuming its easy to switch between the two by using the Orbx FTX Central to change back to default, is this correct?

Is Horizon worth it for sightseeing, ie flying around an area I know seeing all the attractions, castles, land marks etc?

Any comments appreciated

If you like seeing the attractions, castles, land marks utterly flat or in an odd angle, then it is worth it... If you are really lucky you might see some things from the right angle in which case things look pretty real. Take note though that the used photographs are pretty old by now so you won't see stuff that's been changed or build in real life during the last years.

P.S. Disabling Orbx should automatically enable Horizon again, yes, because that one is 'default' once you've installed (and enabled) it.

If you have horizon scenery installed & orbx England when you select orbx in ftx central you have to go into your scenery box in fsx & un tick all the horizon entries , if , like me you have all of horizons photo scenery for the UK there is a lot of boxes to un tick , its easier to save your scenery cfg for each scenery set & swoon them over to comply with the scenery you want to fly with. Check out the other thread in this forum about UK sceneries , I have posted a link to one of my YouTube vids flying in the lake district.
