February 23, 201313 yr My FSX is rock solid, never had random CTD's or any other fuzz. I run a conservatively set FSX on a non OC'd rig. Oddly enough, the only time my FSX crash is either with a Pin Program Error from the FMC in the NGX or the following in the MD-11: 8 hours into my 9 hour flight from Dehli to Stansted today, preparing the FMC for my approach, I entered BKY/87/10 in the scratchpad, as I pressed LSK1 to add the fix, I got the swirling windows "cursor" and FSX crashed. This is the third time this happens in the MD-11, always the same "MO", pretty sad if I cannot trust to use the FIX function in such a fabulous aircraft... Does anyone have experience with this error, and maybe you know if there are a workaround, a safe way to use the FIX function? Thanks and regards, Morten Steen
February 24, 201313 yr Author Ok, I have managed to repeat the crash. Whenever I try to make a fix BKY/87/xx FSX crashes. I can make a fix on BKY with no radial and distance, but as soon as I try to make a fix on the BKY/87 with any distance, FSX crashes. The VOR is close to the STAR ABBOT1C into Stansted EGSS. This prompted me to start using the Autosave function in FSUIPC wich works wonderful with the MD-11. Could it be a problem in Airac 1302? Cheers,
February 24, 201313 yr i used to get a ctd all the time when entering the dep and arr airports in the fmc see that others have different ctd when entering information into the fmc. What solved the problem for me is that i used the repair option in the md11 exe and havnt had a ctd yet I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
February 24, 201313 yr Author Thanks Pete, good idea, I will try that. Since I have found a way to replicate the error it is easy to see if it makes a difference. Cheers,
