February 26, 201313 yr Ok i know this is a long shot, here goes, I love my FS9 but i've been messing around with FSX Also Im running a low end Gaming PC here are my specs Intel core 2duo E7500 8GB DDR2 Memory PCI Express HD Radeon 6470 1GB 1920X1080P Resolution Segate 1 TB Partitioned in half I run FS9 On the Second Partition and FSX On Default Primary Partition I have done alot of tweaks to this Simulator here aree some of the tweaks Ive done BufferPools Poolsize 0 Jobscheduler AffinityMask=3 3000 On trees and 1500 On buildings Himemfix=1 I've also ran the following Texture converter Utility,I Re-size Auto-gen Tree Textures, Installed FSX Performance textures, Re-sized Water Textures Re-sized VC Rain textures In the city i average 31FPS Does jump down to about 22 FPS at times when panning around but jumps up quickly to about 31-32 In Alaska with Ultimate alaska X I Average 40-50FPS Some stutters occurs with certain mission scenery's when close to the Buildings but there minor (Not certain why) Id like to find some Performance clouds for FSX (I've searched everywhere for Mike Kelly's Performance Clouds) Does anyone know where to find them? Id like to know if its possible to squeeze abit more out of FSX Maybe something else i can add to the FSX.CFG For my Rig setup? Or any other files i can configure to get more out of FSX,I would also like to know if there's any Sky Textures out there that are reduced and increase FPS
February 26, 201313 yr Hmmm no replies lol its this the most i can get out of FSX on my rig? Made a mistake above on my System Specs Its not HD Rdeon 6470 lol, The correct Card is (HD Radeon 6750) 1gb pci express
February 26, 201313 yr My old computer was a core duo with an Nvidia 8800GTS and 8 gs of memory. Running Active Sky and Ultimate traffic as long as I kept the sliders far left and traffic to a minimum I was reasonable. With a Core Duo you need to keep things pretty basic tweeks or not. "Why, he just jumped into the air and kept right on going."
February 26, 201313 yr Hopefully your himemfix=1 line in OP was a typo. It should be highmemfix=1. I think you are getting extremely great performance on your system. It's one of the best I have seen or heard about. It's much better than mine and I have a more powerful system. You will get the stutters and blurries occasionally depending on the area you are flying. Not all areas are resource intensive. You can lower your tree/building setting a bit further. I have mine set at the following: TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=1000 TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=800 Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
