Question about Flight1 ATR

Featured Replies

Guys been watching the progress, but one thing keeps thumping in my head and that is whats the difference between theirs and the one offerd in the Eurowings package. Apart form the different colour panel and more liveries?AMD64 3200 - ASUS K8V SE - ASUS RADEON 9800XT - SB AUDIGY 2 - 1.5GB CORSAIR XMS - RUNNING XP PRO ON A 320GB BUNCH OF SATA DRIVES

As I understand it it wil have a more realistic FMC. And all systems wil be simulated.Wouter

I bought the original Eurowings package for FS2002, and to get the update for FS2004 I was told to send them my credit card numer and a photo copy of the card!!! I think not.. So I contacted them (Eurowings), three times via email to setup another way to pay (this is metioned on their forum by the way), and not once have I had a reply back. Great customer service dont you agree? Therefore the package has been relegated to the bin, and my faith in EW has gone forever. Hope this helps to sway you a little..RegardsDrayton

The upcoming Flight 1 ATR will be a very complete package with many more systems modelled as I understand it. In addition, it will have a virtual cockpit and cabin (unlike the EW one) The exterior model will be more accurate and detailed. An important factor in my view, is the fact that the package is being created, in very close and unprecedented cooperation with the manufacturers of the real ATR.Unlike Drayton, I am a big fan of the Eurowings FS2002 and the FS2004 packages, which might explain why I sound so positive about the Flight 1 project. Their ATRs and BAe 146-200/300s are some of my favourite aircraft in FS2009, and this is coming from someone who also has the PMDG Boeings (another awesome addon).

Flight 1 make some incredible aircraft but more than that, in this case, you have ATR actually involved with this package. The aircraft looks amazing. Did you guys see the optinal cockpit setups offered in this sim? ATR gets to show off both types in a FS, pretty good for them and pretty good for us. I KNOW what I will be purchasing once it becomes availible! Parked right next to m7 747 from PMDG ;-)Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! As far as I know the Flight1 ATR team includes Hans Hartmann and Alexander M. Metzger. Hans and Alexander both worked on the Eurowings ATR (Hans did projectmanagent & gauge programming, Alex did the airfiles). So the Flight1 ATR will build on the already great Eurowings ATR.

Considering the ATR is being made with total factory support, it IS an awesome plane. I have been in this crazy and fun hobby for a few years, and I must say this is the BEST rendition of and aircraft and systems I have seen!Make no mistake, this one is a MUST HAVE!Cheers,Frank C.http://fsgateway.com/frank/fs9paibeta.jpg
