September 2, 200421 yr Just wondering...I'd like to be able to use a program of some sort to "capture" conditions from any number of reporting stations, and then choose stations to enter into FS.For example, set up a station in the Keys to capture every 15 minutes or so as the hurricane goes by..Or, simply catpure weather between, say, Philadelphia and Cape Cod over a 24-hour period, then fly any time during "that day" to utilize real-world changing conditions. Thanks,Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
September 3, 200421 yr Hi,With Active Sky 2004 you can download an archived weather set that contains 6 hours of worldwide weather. Now, it will not automatically do this as you need to enter the date and time of your request. We have archived weather from last December to the present.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
September 3, 200421 yr Author I should have a look at some of the weather add-on programs for what you want.I know with FSMeteo you can download global weather for a specific date and time and ActiveSky 2004 has the ability to download past weather but I'm not sure how comprehensive the archive is.As I don't use the default FS weather I'm not sure if you can download 'old' weather or not.If you are looking to fly in bad weather the best bet is to use ServInfo and request the METARs for the area you will fly in. There used to be www.awfulweather.com but that site does not appear the same as it used to be.For good weather depiction I recommend ActiveSky 2004.HTH
