Trouble with missions

Featured Replies

I'm having quite a few glitches in trying to fly missions in FSX, mainly those associated with Acceleration. Is this the correct place to discuss those?

One that is especially troublesome is that I have no communication at all with anyone - atc, the carrier, the lso, etc. The briefing for the carrier tutorial mission, for example, speaks of messages coming from the LSO during the final approach to the trap. But there is nothing - no text message, no audio. I'm sure it must be something I have not set up properly, but at this point I haven't found what it might be.

I also have not communication from my wingman on missions involving two jets. I'm supposed to get some kind of directions, but they never come, so the missions always fail.

Can someone lend me a hand on this?

Thanks.

I'm going to move this to the FSX Forum.  You might get better assistance there.

Best regards,

Jim

My answer is probably of no help, I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone. I've had the same problem, but only with the Bermuda Triangle mission. I just decided not to fly that one (which in my case wasn't really hard as it was only one). When I had to reinstall FSX somehow it worked again.

You could try to repair FSX, but I'm not so sure whether that will be successful or not.

I wish you good luck and hope you find a way to sort that problem out.

I would uninstall Acceleration, startup FSX, close, then reinstall Acceleration.

Best regards,

Jim

To Add:  Before installing Acceleration, did you have SP2 installed?  That should be uninstalled before installing SP2.  Make sure you primary communication device for your system sound settings is set to Speaker.
