March 7, 201313 yr So when I start landing and I get to around 1000-1500 feet my plane automatically starts increasing the throttle...I'm sure it's some sort of protection built into the plane, but I don't know how to turn it off so I can land...heard of this before? Thanks. Chuck Steinmetz
March 7, 201313 yr I guess you're talking about the default A321? At least I got this kind of problem only in the A321. There's two ways around it: First of all, you could leave AT on with SPD set to your approach speed (I know, that's not realistic, but better than the over-protective protection system), or you can turn that whole system off. For that you have to switch some switches on the upper overhead panel (on the left side) to the off position. I can't remember which one, because the last time I flew the A321 was about a year ago, but that sure works (but isn't realistic either). Flo Florian
