March 10, 201313 yr Hi, I'm puzzled about this because at DigitalStorm they mention the i73930K is the unlocked one. Does a higher TDP for the i73960X equate to better overclockability over the 3930K? I ask because the Extreme version X is double the cost, and if they both are have unlocked multis why so big a price diff? March 10, 201313 yr Both are pretty much the same thing. Why the price difference? Just a gimmick really, for those with more money than sense

Do you know what kind of range of overclock to expect on the i73930K? 4.1? 4.4? March 12, 201313 yr What's your sense of how PCIe3 turned out, meaningful or not so much? Not meaningful at all by the looks of it, but haven't tested it myself
March 14, 201313 yr With corsair h60 I get it up to 4, 4 Ghz, more than that and the temp goes over 80 when stress testing with OCCT . I advice you pick a better cooler such as the H100 or H110. I believe these E CPU's run hotter than Sandy Bridge. If you are considering LGA2011 you might as well wait for Ivy Bridge-E later this year. Hans Hjorth
