September 7, 200421 yr Can anyone on the forum confirm what seems to be some performance gain as discussed here?:http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-237-1.htmSounds interesting, an update from MS that actually improves performance rather than hurting it...!Joel

September 7, 200421 yr Yes, now it works. Some folks on the Avsim forum devoted to SP2 actually claim a significant performance decrease with SP2. I am not sure what to believe.Michael J. Michael J.
September 7, 200421 yr Hi Joel,The 1-2 FPS on my system really made a difference when I updated Dx. Benchmarks are great, but guess what? In the real world a user would not notice a speed difference between SP1 and SP2. Many believe that it takes a 10 to 15% difference in order to notice a difference in real life. It is grand that SP2 has not slowed systems down! I installed SP2 and have not noticed a speed difference so I encourage it's installation.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
