March 18, 201313 yr Hi all: What I have is, I load up My Westjet livery of 737NGX at a gate at KLAS . I start with a cold dark cockpit. I am running FS2CREW for the NGX. Everything does fine till it's time to taxi. I aplly a little throttle to get moving, but when I go to brake for any reason, OH OH NO BRAKES. Not even parking brakes. I actually have to throw thrusters into reverse to stop. Now, if I load any of the other liveries , and start, lets say at an active runway or anywhere else, the brakes work just fine. Is there a random failure that happens from time to time, created by the simulator? If so, how do you apply repairs? Thanks for help. S. Sumner
March 18, 201313 yr Hi Sumnr5, Can you post your name as per forum rules, as makes replies better? So, you are saying ONLY when you load the Westjet livery, do you lose the normal braking. If you load for example the PMDG standard livery, the brakes work ok? then when you reload the Westjet livery again, the brakes again fail to operate? Have you set up any failures to occur? Regards Geoff Bryce
March 18, 201313 yr Author Hi again. Please call me Steve. Please forgive me for not reading forun rules before hand. I loaded up FSX, and loaded default flight which is ultra light at some out of way the air strip. I then parked the craft at Gate 12, KLAS. Once there, I loaded the WestJet livery of NGX. Did a short pushback, about 100 feet or so, then hit brakes. No problem. Parking brake good as well. Before, I was loading the WestJet as a saved flight, where I was starting at KLAS with a cold Dark Cockpit. This may have caused a problem. I am still sitting at KLAS, and am going to load a cold dark cockpit from the FMC menu, then run FS2CREW and see what happens. Thanks Por930 for help.
March 18, 201313 yr Check your failure menue, maybe you have, for whatever reason, a brake-failure - this will "stick" to the livery unless being canceled. edit: you have to write your complete name under your post - otherwise it gets deleted Regards, Chris Volle i7700k @ 4,7, 32gb ram, Win10, MSI GTX1070.
March 18, 201313 yr Author Thanks for heads up. Brakes work fine now. I have more work to do. Getting used to AP. I am used to seeing Alt hold and VS hold staying on at same time in other aircraft. Steve Sumner
