March 18, 201313 yr I have the Caranado Cessna 182T with the G1000, I'm interested in replacing the default G1000 in the fsx 172 with the one from the Caranado 182T. Does any one know if this is possible?
March 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member Probably, but since they're almost identical (the Carenado one is based off the default)... what's the point?? Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
March 18, 201313 yr Author The Caranado 182T has a better G1000 with buttons that exist on the real G1000, the default G1000 that comes with FSX is horrible, perfect example is the DME button. The point is, in real life I'm in the middle of my instrument rating and flying a 172 G1000, so I would like to emulate this aircraft as close as possible.
March 18, 201313 yr In some sense, you could just fly the 182 with the prop full forward. Never tried that myself but it's kinda the same effect?...Maybe? The only other option I can think of is the Flight1 C162 but it has different Garmin glass. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. March 19, 201313 yr Commercial Member Fine as far as I know. It's never shown any issues on my system. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
March 19, 201313 yr I was just thinking about some other aircraft...the Carenado birds...nice but with slow frames with their systems. I wonder if anyone's tried to replace their G1000s with that one. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane.
