G1000 replacement in default C172

Featured Replies

I have the Caranado Cessna 182T with the G1000, I'm interested in replacing the default G1000 in the fsx 172 with the one from the Caranado 182T.

Does any one know if this is possible?

The Caranado 182T has a better G1000 with buttons that exist on the real G1000, the default G1000 that comes with FSX is horrible, perfect example is the DME button.

The point is, in real life I'm in the middle of my instrument rating and flying a 172 G1000, so I would like to emulate this aircraft as close as possible.

In some sense, you could just fly the 182 with the prop full forward.  Never tried that myself but it's kinda the same effect?...Maybe?  The only other option I can think of is the Flight1 C162 but it has different Garmin glass.

I was just thinking about some other aircraft...the Carenado birds...nice but with slow frames with their systems.  I wonder if anyone's tried to replace their G1000s with that one.
