Hi all

 

I've just started having an unusual problem with the sound during a flight. Whenever the ATC chatters, either to me or other planes the engine noise in my plane reduces. Then after about 44-60 seconds after the atc has stopped talking the sound returns to its previous level?

 

I've tried playing with the various volume levels but they don't seem to stop it so I'm now at a lose. Any ideas?

Can you be more specific?

 

I have volume lower usually and notice an immediate reduction in all sounds when I manipulate any thing(button, sw, knob, lever) in the VC. The volume returns to initial level after about 15sec.

 

I don't think is a FSX thing, I think its an addon module causing it but never have taken the time to painstakingly figure it out.

Look at your sound card software for volume smoothing or volume reduction or similar option.

Under the communications settings of the volume controls, make sure that windows is not set to reduce the level of other sounds when it detects communications. Set it to "do nothing" to stop the volume drop.
