FSX Fatal Crash

Featured Replies

My son is home for spring break, he will be working at Microsoft starting this summer and interned there last year. I'll have him look it, maybe he'll have some additional suggestions

Awesome!  That's the best resource you can possibly have.  My son helped me with my computer problems back in the 1990's while he was in college too.  Now he is the VP for IT at a worldwide firm that specializes in advertising for Dell, Microsoft, HP, the Olympics, the Presidential elections, etc.

If you son does find a solution (other than reinstalling the OS and/or FSX), it would be nice to hear what he did to resolve your problem as this is a frequent CTD for the AVSIM membership!

Best regards,

Jim

My son looked at the error message and said ........"repair if able or reinstall".  Looks like a project for later.

In the meantime, I purchased a one month plan for P3D.  Loaded it and moved my ORBX sceneries over.  There is some potential there and no CTD's so far.

Thanks,

Ken

In the process of trying different repair options before making the commitment to remove and reinstall FSX, I inserted FSX Acceleration disk and ran repair.  As of know the FSX is back among the living.

Guess we'll see how long it lasts.

Thanks again,

Ken

Thanks Ken for letting us know how your problem was resolved.  I sometimes recommend uninstall/reinstall of Acceleration or SP2 as that has helped others too.

Best regards,

Jim
