March 23, 201313 yr Soo, I been tweaking and reading diffrent things online, for month`s. But nothing really seems to work. Im at Heathrow in my CS 767-300, and im getting 24-29FPS in VC. Is this were i should be? Fsx is on medium/high setting, and no traffic. -JT
March 23, 201313 yr Welcome to AVSIM! Which EGLL scenery do you use? Those frame rates seem decent, considering how performance-heavy many Captain Sim products are. Perhaps try further lowering cloud and water settings.

March 23, 201313 yr Hi JT, You would have to define what normal is, when it comes to FSX there is somewhat of a normal but it depends on your system. I see that you have overclocked your system to 4.4GHz, not bad however I have seen better results since OC'ing to 4.8GHz. As for 2 GPU's running in SLI mode it is a waste for FSX but may be helpful in other applications. I guess I do not have to provide any of the links to the guides as you have probably read them all by now. If you have not read it I would recommend the FSX Software and Hardware Guide which was assembled by Paul Johnson. FWIW, I get between 24 and 29.9 FPS almost constantly in FSX using the Level D 767 and CS767 at EGLL and it is an addon scenery not default, when airborne my FPS is rock solid at 29.9 FPS (FSX is set to 30 FPS internally) My BIOS settings have played a big part in the smoothness and visuals that I experience when running FSX and it may be worthwhile for you to check your settings using Coretemp and CPU-Z. It is vitally important that you have a stable OC, sound memory settings and even better CPU cooling. On the GPU side ensure that you are running Nvidia Inspector and your experience will improve. Hang in there. \Robert Hamlich/
March 23, 201313 yr Author Hi ACA, sure I`ve had a peek at that Guide. But nothing seem`s to give a new edge to FSX. Paid around 5000 dollars for my new computer, but im about to give up. Hahah. Back to FSX movies on youtube
March 23, 201313 yr Ouch that is a lot of money JT, yes... stick with it and you will be happy. \Robert Hamlich/
