DX10- Garbage

Featured Replies

I really do not how you guys can say this dx10 is so great.

I have tried twice, following all these complicated changes to my fs.cfg, nvidia inspector and god knows what else, with the same result: FSX CRASH!!!

Yes, my fsx has the dx10 box checked.

I tried a few different nvidiainspector setting possibilities.

If this is possible it should work on my computer: i72700,GTX680 all the latest.

Pretty disgusted,

Hi Pau,

Sorry to hear you are having some problems.  You need to work with us.  DX10 should not make your computer crash.  DX10 is just an upgrade from the DX9 you were seeing before ticking DX10 Preview.  If you turn off DX10 Preview and go back to DX9, your computer should still crash.  There is no changes to your fsx files and folders, just files that ONLY pertain to DX10.  Once DX10 is installed, you should be able to go back and forth between DX10 and DX9 without changing anything in your NI settings or FSX.cfg.

You need to check whether or not your installation succeeded.  This is what your Shader folder should look like if you installed Steve's Shader10 3.2.2 fix correctly:

If you had a crash, you need to download and run AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html - and copy and paste the latest crash details here.  It could be another problem with your computer.

Best regards,

Jim
