Hi, I happened to have an engine failure during the flight and I had to land to the closest airport. Is there a way to inform the RC4 controller that I need to divert to a different airport?

Please see page 45 of the rcv43.pdf manual "Change of Destination" and more to the point page 59-61 the section Emergency where several options occur when you declare an emergency as:

 

Air Rage, Hydraulic Failure, Collision, Loss of Pressure, Cracked Windshield, Fuel Leak, Electrical Failure, Medical, Engine out, Smoke in Cockpit.

 

Options will be given to:

1. Vectors to Closest Airport

2. Request Direct (choose airport from list)

3. Return to (Departure Airport)

 

Be aware that RC for option 1 does NOT consider airport suitability and it may be uncontrolled.

 

Normal COD options are more limited and occur in the enroute phase only.
