April 3, 201313 yr I am abvout to study the course to become a Vatsim controller. How does it work ( 0nce I passed my exams ) to b a controller at a specific airport ? April 3, 201313 yr You can choose. Basically, when you register at VATSIM you can choose division and ACC you belong. Than you go at site of local ACC you chose and ask for training. They can train you for airports and areas inside their own ACC only. If you want to control at other places you need agreement to be visiting controller for that area or to change your home division and ACC.
