April 6, 201313 yr Hi all, I'm tweaking settings in .cfg, Nvidia Inspector and in-game, and I want to run some tests to see which way I should head to improve the experience. I know I can monitor the instantaneous FPS using shift-z but is there a way of having each FPS reading outputted to a text file so I can crunch some numbers after the flight? I've googled a bit and fraps looks likely but does this impose it's own load on the CPU/GPU too? Thanks Paul
April 7, 201313 yr Have you tried FSXMark11? There's a pinned topic in the AVSIM Hardware Forum where tests were done with various hardware and fsx settings to see which CPU/Video card ran the best. I think you can also test various fsx.cfg's and display driver settings to see which is best for your computer. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
