  1. I saw a suggestion here once that slewing your heading by one degree somehow resets the ATC. I think it was in the context of requesting a new departure after taxiing to the gate. Might work for your issue.
  2. Yes, a Brindabella Airlines check flight had some issues restarting after an in-flight shutdown because of confusion about the start locks. See ATSB 200404589.
  3. Of course sometimes pilots forget to put the gear down, which you'd think would be an even more elementary oversight. The more aids and redundancy helping a pilot after a long flight the better.
