Your version is old, mine is 2.0.0.2352.

Suggest you download the Add-On manager from their site here: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/products_addonmanager.html

Uninstall your current Couatl Add-On manager and then install the new one.  When installing be sure to run the setup with "Run As Administrator" option.

EDIT: I'm not a big fan of the Add-On manager either, it's caused me several headaches.  They should take a look at how PMDG did their Operations Center ... now that's slick.

I had the same problem after latest update Manny. I had to reinstall GSX to fix it. I tried the Stand alone manager, that did not work. So I think it was the latest update that caused mine to go pear shape. Make sure you reboot PC after reinstalling, before loading FSX.

Manny you also might want to see Umberto's help at the FSDT forum if the above suggestions dont work for you. Umberto is one of the best and most patient devs out there when it comes to trouble shooting problems that crop up from time to time.

I guess I have been fortunate and lucky since I have been running their sceneries since back in '09 with two different computers now and never had any of the issues I have seen reported from Couatl or Addon Manager, but I have seen him solve just about every issue anyone has reported on their forum, even to the point that he would do a teamspeak session with them to sort it out.

Add me to the list.

When scrolling through their forum, 90% percent of the support messages are just explanations how the couatl.exe cannot be blamed. It is your set up which is at fault. So I don't know if that helps...

I agree 99%. 1 % I don't   I have never had an error with FSDT and have all the products, but on this occasion, the update for the  B777 (GSX ) it somehow must have corrupted GSX and got the same error as Manny. First time since 2009, so I suppose it can happen.

Couatl.........   Hate that application.  It's intrusive and buggy, and I almost uninstalled GSX because of it. :(

I got some Couatl error the other week and the box just kept popping up and would not let me use the sim whatsoever until I'd uninstalled it.    Do I want popups in FSX sessions about Couatl updates.... ? NO!

It is just poorly thought out intrusive bloatware and I think the products that use it will end up suffering in sales figures because of it.

I too had issues with the Add-On Manager. I had already installed GSX,and Add-on Manager showed that it had been activated, and yest when I pressed Ctrl+Shift+12, I got no menu. Tried updating it from within the sim. No change. Then when I tried to re-install GSX, it threw up an error. I had to go back all the way to uninstalling.

Additionally, trying to activate FSDT's airports online seems to be buggy. Have managed to activate just 2 airports out of the 7 I have.

But the thing is the module allowing for all the features of GSX and the airports. It even runs externally (reducing oom situations and saving performance). I think one can even disable the update checking and the popup.

As a general tip, set the exe to always run as admin via the properties. My guess would be that this prevents some possible problems.

Yikes, that shouldn't happen of course. I can feel your pain and me hopes Umberto can help you with that one. The strange thing is that I could sort of understand if all activations fail. But 5 out of 7? That indeed is weird. :'(

I have a number of FSDT addons, but no longer have any of them installed for that very problem. I know their quality is stunning, but with FSX already being such a knife edge program, I'm not willing to add to its problems.

Wherever the problem lays, either locally, or with their software, and obviously there is one SOMEWHERE, as we see a number of these posts, I'm not willing to keep trying to 'fix it' ;-)

Even after a complete Windows and FSX reinstall, I would still have ocassional issues with it.

Sadly, the same goes for the QW757 as they also use it.

I mean no disrespect to either developer - they both create stunning software.

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

OP, sounds like you are protesting FSDT's released a software that doesn't work well on your PC.  If that's the case, respectfully suggest you remove it and do not use it.  Coutl appears not to work well on all setups.

Make sure that you check any entries in the cfg. Delete them and reinstall the latest addon manager.

Then open fsx and say yes to the two new entries.

They make good and important airports. Although I would like  to boycott FSDT because of the intrusive COUTL stuff and the inability to do instant replay, its really not an option.. I cannot do without their airports..so its frustrating.

This is the same I feel about the over engineered EZDOK.. I need their head movement thing in VC. I loath their camera views stuff...IT requires a Ph.D in EZDOK to get comfortable with it...

So I am left with cursing these two  while I continue using them.

LOL :P
