FSX ''Hangs'' on pushback

Featured Replies

Hi all

Recently, FSX has started to ''freeze'' for around 10-20 seconds on push back. (Only on push back), It happens if i use Ctrl + P or GSX Push back.

After it has frozen it works fine, just pauses which is annoying.

Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks

Adam

Since it only happens at pushback and with the default and GSX pushback I think it must be a fsx/display driver high setting.  FSX is having an issue getting the textures and other things required for the pushback and cannot render them fast enough.  You can run a program like process monitor and check to see what fsx is loading at that moment.  To capture it, you would have to click anywhere on process monitor and hit Ctrl+E.  That will stop the monitoring and you can see what was happening during the last few seconds (besides you trying to click on process monitor and hit Ctrl+E.....).  Of course, best to run fsx and process monitor in windowed mode so you can watch both screens.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jim
