I am trying to install my new purchase of X-Plane 10 and it stalls on Disk 3 and I cannot finish.  Any suggestions?

could be a scratched CD or a defective CD/DVD drive.

Check for fingerprints on the disc and, if found, gently clean from the center to the edge - not around the circumference.  A dampened soft cloth is good.

This happend to me way back. I clicked ignore or continue (forgot what the wording was) and it continued to install. I had to do this quite a few times during the install on 2 of my disks. It was a real pain, but after it was installed, I had skipped over quite a few files what were damaged on the CD.

After install is complete, ran the update installer again and it will see that these files are missing or dammaged and download them from the server and you will be OK.

 

LM will send you a replacement DVD for the one thats damaged.
