is there an add-on which adds a heat haze effect to jet engines?

As far as I've found out, there ain't no such thing. I'm only aware of a few of Thomas Ruth's freeware Airbuses that have something similar modeled. I guess he did that as a part of the model, because you can toggle the effect on/off via the tailhook key command IIRC, but as I said it is most likely part of the model, and btw it's hardly noticable.

It would be great to have such an effect, though.

I believe it can be used on default and payware as well. I only use it for AI.
