April 19, 201313 yr I try to load a CO Route and get a error message "Unable to load F-plan" I tried renaming the file and get the same message. Any advice? the flightplan is downloaded from simroutes.com
April 19, 201313 yr Commercial Member My bet is that SimRoutes didn't parse the plan properly and there's some kind of error in the plan. The best way to store plans is to create them in the FMS first and just save them for next time. Kyle Rodgers
April 20, 201313 yr When I have used Sim Routes it tries to save the file with a "-" between the departure and arrival airport codes. I always do a "save as" and eliminate the "-". Example: Sim Routes tries to save the file as "KORD-KJFK" and I save it as "KORDKJFK", which is the exact comapny route I type in the FMS. I have no idea if this helps but I know it was one of the issues I have incurred. Also, do a save as and make sure it is saving the file in the correct file. Don Abernathy

Simroutes give you the option to download the flightplan as FS9 or FSX or PMDG format...plus a few others. When I select PMDG it saves the file correctly as as "KORDKJFK" Are you using the drop down box correctly ? The problem with the Simroutes website is that it is not updated anymore and I often get problems when trying to create a FS9 or PMDG plan with a waypoint or airway not being recognised.
