REX and Simlauncher

Featured Replies

I have a question about how to use REX and Simlauncher in P3D: I want to startup REX (latest version) to inject realtime weather at my departing airport/location. It seems that the only way to get real weather to properly load is to specify the airport and press the "fly now" button.  However, I prefer to use SimLauncher to specify all other settings, such as my aircraft, starting location/setup and season/time of day.

What is the best way to use these two get get (1) real weather and (2) to allow Simlauncher to load all my variables properly?

(I realize this question my stem from my own ignorance, so thank you for your patience in advance).

I use AS2012 but I believe the methods are the same - you do njot have to click FLY NOW - just select the weather and install it or select the airport. Then use Simlauncher to set up the rest and start P3D - if it works as AS2012 does, it will establish a connection to P3D and inject the weather. If it is NOT connecting with P3D - then you have an issue.
