FSX freezes vacating runway

Featured Replies

Hi guys, it's a couple of days now my fsx freezes (and I have di CTRL+ALT+CANC) wherever I am, whichever plane I use, as soon as I vacate runway. The fight is perfect, no shutters, no messages...

Tried removing fsx.cfg and making it to do a new one but nothing.

I wait for your suggestion before reinstalling the whole fsx world.

Appcrashview says:

process file: fsx.exe

event name: stopped working

fault module name; stackhash_029e (but also sometime MSVCR80.dll, API.dll)

process path: d:\Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe

If you landed at a payware airport, like Aerosoft, it is most likely caused by lack of resources.  FSX is close to running out of resources.  Your settings are too high for that airport, that area.  You could also have a problem with any overclock or possibly overheating.  There's a post near yours that has a fix for those with a StackHash crash.  It might work.  Most likely not but some have said it has worked for them.  FSX does not function with DEP turned off.  The MSVCR80.dll is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 package and it is telling you what the programmers of one of your products wanted to tell you.  That it wasn't installed properly and it will not work.  What product is unknown the 2005 version came with FSX and Acceleration and some early addons.  Some later addons used the MSV 2008 and 2010 versions.  The API.dll indicates you are close to running out of memory.

Best regards,

Jim

what shall I say?

T H A N K S

to you, to avsim forum and to mr..the next thread..whose name I don't remember but I'm going to thank him in a minute; I downloaded and installed his api.dll and landed in Nice Cote d'Azur Aerosoft coming from Roissy Aerosoft, sliders not full to the right but almost full to the right and no issues.

Great!!!
