April 28, 201313 yr I tried it, but unfortunately it's crashing P3D direct upon (d3d9.dll CTD). I did some searching on the net, but I didn't find a working case. I would be glad to hear too when someone got it working. Regards, Jeroen
July 2, 201312 yr I've been using FXAA in P3D along with nVidia Inspector without any ctd's. So I tried something different, once again, to see if SweetFX would run. I copied SweetFX v1.3.3 into my stock copy of P3D; no add-ons, mods no nothing. I then bak'd "dxgi.dll" and "dxgi.fx" and then flushed the shaders for P3D to rebuild. I did not start nVidia Inspector. Upon loading P3D, the green FXAA indicator box appeared upper left corner and P3D fully loaded w/o ctd. I took a 10 minute flight in the Mooney and then exited. Does this mean SweetFX is fully initializing or is it just the FXAA anti-aliasing mode? Can someone else try this and confirm? plug_nickel
July 2, 201312 yr I don't have P3d yet so I cannot test this. I can say however that in FSX if Anti-Aliasing is enabled in graphics settings SweetFX will not work (using SMAA). It'll load but will not modify the shaders. By default I believe SweetFX uses SMAA, that could be where the issue is. Try copying over the d3d9.dll for FXAA and see if that works.. July 31, 201312 yr I really wish SweetFX would work for P3D. That's one of my favorite mods for FSX. Is there anything the developer can do to make it compatible? Not sure why it won't run in P3D in the first place, since it's more modern than FSX.
