October 6, 200421 yr Each time I engage the autopilot in the default Mooney Bravo, the nose of the plane drops steeply, almost to the point of plowing the plane into the ground. This happens even though the trim settings are set to t/o.any ideas of what i'm doing wrong?ricardo

October 7, 200421 yr Author Without more information I can only take a couple of stabs at this. Either something has been altered in your fs9.cfg file for the autopilot (if you haven't touched this file it is probably OK). The other thought is about the airspeed are you maintaining when this happens. Many of the flight models, especially default will not maintain an autopilot climb with the default vertical speed, the airspeed will decay and the aircraft will stall. Try not to drop below the Vy speed during your climbout. You can make adjustments to this by lowering the vertical speed to keep your airspeed where is belongs. You can also use the autopilot during climb for just maintaining a set heading or "Nav" setting to follow a VOR radial or the GPS flightplan and just trim the aircraft for the climb. This last solution would allow you to maintain the speed you have trimmed for while the Autopilot keeps you on course.Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
